Very good low level pickup. Great ride and handling. A little weak on initial takeoff or on steep hills due to the
less powerful small V8. Gas mileage around 17 in town and near 18 mpg on highway provided you do not exceed 75mph.
Once hot, or if pushed past 75 mph, gas mileage goes down to high 16s. Fit and finish are good. Interior trim a little
cheap and started to come apart on inside of door windows (plastic coverings). No power package. A/C works great but
on a hot day is a little weak. Braking is exceptional, good solid feel. Cruise Control okay but on steep hills can
suddenly kick in and make engine scream in protest. Original Hankook Dyna Pro II tires were excellent (little light on
corners) but the replacement Good Year ones decreased gas mileage and gave a softer but sluggish ride. Stereo radio/CD
adequate but not great sounding. Style very nice as a pickup look. Nice lift look on body. 4x4 was super tight to
engage and very hard to disengage 4x4 low, sometimes sticking for 5-10 mins, very irritating. But with wear should get
better. Floor 4x4 shifter a pain since you have to lean over to grab it. So overall, a good traditional pickup,
suitable for light but not heavy duty work. Good as an everyday vehicle.
